A good friend of mine is having a baby. A boy. I bought her a vintage/antique beautiful silver baby bracelet that I think that she will not use on the baby (due to potential choking hazard--it has two little bells on it--very securely fastened). There is another present I'd like to get her as well, but now I am second guessing giving the bracelet at all. She can have it as a keepsake or potentially use it as a bracelet on an older (maybe 3 year old) girl, should she have one in the future.
This friend is very opinionated and can be quite persnikkety, if you know what I mean. I'd like to get her something (visiting her this weekend far away) but don't know if I have time to go out and buy the other present. What should I do? Give her the bracelet? Leave work and go buy the other thing? Both? Neither? The baby has not been born yet.

I would give a gift, but I would not give the bracelet.
I’m sure it’s lovely but I’d trust your instincts on this one.
I would reconsider give a bracelet for a baby boy. Get a gift that is either for a boy or not gender specific.
I find it exhausting getting gifts for opinionated people. A gift should be appreciated due to the thought. I would tend to put in less thought getting a gift for someone I know might be persnickety.
Do give a gift but maybe something she can use or buy clothes for the baby
