Ring Markings Question: I purchased an antique and diamond ring recently.
GOLD METAL TESTING KIT WITH 5 NEEDLES
Price: $51.90 USD
The only markings inside the band are either “698″ or “693″. It actually looks like 698 on one side and 693 on the other.
I had it tested. The jeweler said it does not test gold, silver or platinum, however, the opal and diamonds are real and appear to be of good quality.
Any ideas on what this number means?
Thank you.

Antique Platinum Ring Question: I recently purchased an antique platinum filigree diamond engagement ring.
Hallmarks of the Southwest (Schiffer Book for Collectors)
Price: $30.04 USD
It has hallmarks located on the inside of the band.
I’ve been unable to find any markings that look similar.
The marks include a triangle (delta shaped), an uppercase K, and what appears to be a crescent.
There are other marks, but I can’t readily see what they are. Could any of these help identify the origin of the ring?

Antique Wedding Ring (Hallmark)?
Question: I have a wedding ring which would be from the early to mid 1800’s (I believe).
Kovels’ American Silver Marks
Price: $40.00 USD
The mark inside looks like a sideways M or W and a mark like this >H< (kinda like that) looks like a little tree or something.
I am assuming it is how the used to mark gold like 14k or 18k, but I can’t find any info online for how gold used to be marked.

Beauty Of An Australian Opal Bracelet brought to you by guest writer - JulieAnne Williams
My Australian opal bracelet is probably my most prized possession.
The bracelet part itself is made of beautiful white gold of a high purity (although I could not tell you the carat of it, as I rarely pay attention to such things.) It is made with an intricate Celtic weaving design which looks just absolutely stunning on my wrists.
There are all sorts of swirls and crosses, zigzags and flowers flowing in a continuous pattern all around the perimeter of the Australian opal bracelet. The best part of the bracelet, however, is the beautiful opal stone at the center of it.

Question: Hello. I am hoping that you can help me to identify the manufacturer and approximate date of a garnet necklace.
The reverse of the necklace is marked STG.SIL (all upper-case) and FBW (all upper-case). After some research, I believe that the silver hallmark may indicate that this was manufacturer in Australia or NZ…
