British Double Sovereign Case:

Question: I would like to know when this case was made and it’s approximate value (US dollars)?

The hallmark reads 9.375 (-> 1

It’s condition is mint.

Unlike Jewelry or Gemstones, Sovereign cases and other small items made in precious metals, tend to be valued more for their Antique or collectable value than gold content etc.

Your Hallmark information simply tells me it was made in 9ct gold (the .375 is the decimal mark in parts per thousand of pure gold and again just shows it was made in 9ct or 9K).

If the item were made in the UK for example, I would expect a lot more marks. So if these are all you can find - will not help me to identify the real age or even if it is a replica?

As to value - you are going to have to solve the earlier questions first. I would suggest you check with your local FRIENDLY antique dealer (ask more than one) as they will be able to tell you more because they know where to look for the marks and will be experienced in Reproduction Jewelery items.
