Vintage Gold Bangle
gold bracelet marks
Question: Hi I have a vintage gold bangle bracelet.
it is marked C.E.H. Co. 1/4 Gold do you have any idea what this means?
Around 1930’s the bracelet was made is inscribed on inside..Thanks
Answer: G’day and many thanks for your query
The letters C.E.H. Co are simply the Maker’s Mark or Store intitals and has no relivence as to value. The Co stands for ‘Company’
The 1/4 Gold may indicate a gold plate or thickness in microns which they used in old plated jewelry but you will need to have your local FRIENDLY jewelry take a look at it for you. They shouldn’t charge (just to look) but may require a small fee if they have to acid test it.
Be aware that while they try to test in a hidden - out of the way place - I may leave a small scratch mark on your bangle.
But this is the only way you are going to know for sure. Start with them looking at it and take it from there.
You might like to add this query to my blog at this address because others may come across the same mark and can leave a comment. You will find it here:

Hope this helps…
