would bronze from 1928 look like gold?
i have a vintage 1928 dresser that we are refurbishing. it comes with a tall chest of drawers that has 2 doors that open with 5 hidden drawers. it had very detailed craftsmanship.
anyways….we were cleaning the pull ring knobs and they started to look gold. we scratched a small piece and its definatly not just gold plated.
i called an antique dealer and asked them if they thought it was gold and they said it was impossible!! why?
i know i can get a gold test, but i am just wondering if old bronze looks like gold.

Can anyone help me find how much this vintage pendant is worth?
my grandmother passed it on to me this summer. she said that it is at least 100 years old, but i don’t know the exact year. on the watch face it says c. bucherer swiss. i found out it is called a Marble or Eyeball Necklace or pendant Watch, but i can’t find it on the web. it is a sphere with exposed gears on the back and magnifying semi circle faces on either side. how much would an antique heirloom like this cost?
